يحظى الصراع العربي – الاسرائيلي والدراسات المتفرعة عنه باهتمام اكاديمي كبير, كما شرع الكثير من القادة العسكريين والسياسيين بمحاولة توثيق وتسجيل احداث وتفاصيل الصراع بين العرب وإسرائيل المعقّد عن طريق تدوين مذكراتهم الشخصية والوقوف على اسباب الانتصارات والهزائم العسكرية معا للاستفادة من الدروس المستخلصة من معارك ذلك الصراع ، ومن هنا كان اختيارنا لموضوع الدراسة الموسوم (نكبة عام 1948 في مذكرات القادة العسكريين والسياسيين المصريين) حيث في الحرب التي وقفت بريطانيا والدول الامبريالية الى جانب إسرائيل حتى أثناء محاصرة الجيوش الإسرائيلية كانت تتدخل بريطانيا في فرض هدنة لإعادة هيكلة الجيش الإسرائيلي والتزود بالأسلحة والمؤن واستئناف القتال مرة أخرى كل الهدن التي حصلت من جانب بريطانيا كانت من صالح الجيش الإسرائيلي.The Arab-Israeli conflict and its related studies receive great academic interest, and many military and political leaders have begun trying to document and record the events and details of the complex conflict between the Arabs and Israel by writing down their personal memoirs and identifying the reasons for military victories and defeats together in order to benefit from the lessons learned from the battles of that conflict.
