تتناول الدراسة تطور الصحافة في المملكة العربية السعودية 1932م/ 2005م، تبدأ الدراسة في عام 1932م وهو العام الذي شهد تأسيس المملكة العربية السعودية على يد الملك المؤسس عبد العزيز بن سعود، وتنتهي في عام 2005م الذي يمثل نهاية عهد الملك فهد، وعالجت الدراسة نشأة المؤسسات الصحفية سواءً رسمية أو خاصة، وتطور القوانين والمراسيم التي نظمت العمل الصحفي، وتطور ملكية الصحافة في المملكة خلال الحقبة التاريخية 1932 / 2005م.

Summary
The study deals with the development of journalism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 1932 AD/2005 AD. The study begins in the year 1932 AD, which is the year that witnessed the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the founding King Abdulaziz bin Saud, and ends in the year 2005 AD, which represents the end of the reign of King Fahd. The study dealt with the emergence of press institutions. Whether official or private, the development of laws and decrees that regulated journalistic work, and the development of press ownership in the Kingdom during the historical era 1932/2005 AD.
