الملخص:
      تناولت هذه الدراسة تجارة المدينة المنورة خلال الفترة من القرن الخامس الهجري وحتى القرن العاشر الهجري من خلال نوع جديد من المصادر، وهي كتابات الجغرافيين والرحالة المسلمين.
     وتأتي أهمية هذه الدراسة في التقاط الإشارة لدى الجغرافيين والرحالة المسلمين وتحليلها؛ لتكوين صورة واضحة ما أمكن عن الأحوال التجارية للمدينة المنورة من خلال هذا النوع من المصادر.
     وقد سلطت الدراسة الضوء على الطرق التجارية التي ربطت المدينة بغيرها من المناطق، ودورها في تنشيط التجارة، كما أبرزت العلاقات التجارية للمدينة المنورة مع المناطق المحيطة بها، من خلال المبادلات التجارية، وأظهرت الدراسة صادرات وواردات المدينة المنورة من السلع والمنتوجات، كما ناقشت أسواق المدينة وما كان يمارس فيها من أنشطة وتعاملات مختلفة، وبينت أبرز العوامل المؤثرة في الحركة التجارية للمدينة المنورة سلبا وايجابا.
     ومن أبرز النتائج التي توصلت اليها الدراسة أنها بينت مدى ثراء الفكر الجغرافي والرحلي في الإشارات الهامة إلى تجارة المدينة، التي عز وجودها في غير هذا النوع من المصادر، كما أظهرت الدراسة أن المدينة شهدت حالة من النشاط في الحركة التجارية وإلى جانب ذلك مرت بحالات من الاضطراب والتذبذب، وكان للمواسم الدور الأكبر في ذلك.
Abstract:
This research delves into the commercial activities of Madinah 'Almadina Almunawara' during the period from the 5th to the 10th centuries of Hijri through a new type of source, namely the writings of Muslim geographers and travelers. The significance of this study lies in capturing the indications found in the writings of Muslim geographers and travelers and analyzing them in order to form as clear a picture as possible of the commercial conditions of Madinah through this type of sources. The study sheds light on the trade routes that connected Madinah with other regions, and their role in stimulating trade. It also highlights trade relations of Madinah with the surrounding regions, through trade exchanges. The study pinpoints the exports and imports of Madinah of goods and products. It also discusses Madinah markets with the various activities and transactions conducted therein. It identifies the key factors, both positive and negative, that influenced Madinah's trade movement. One of the most prominent findings reached by the study is that it shows the extent of the richness of geographical and travel thought in their important references to Madinah's trade, which are rarely found in other sources. The study also demonstrates that Madinah witnessed a state of activity in trade movement and that it went through states of turmoil and fluctuation. Seasons played the greatest role in that fluctuation.
