This research was carried out in Beni-Suef Governorate, as it is one of the largest governorates cultivated with medicinal and aromatic plants in 2023/2024. Two administrative centers were chosen: Nasser and Somosta. A village was chosen from each center. The size of the selected sample reached 200 respondents. This research aimed to determine the role of added value for medicinal and aromatic plants to ameliorate the standard of living of rural people in study area, and to define the type of relationship between The independent variables studied and the degree of added value to distinguish the problems facing rural people in the production of medicinal and aromatic plants and their suggestions for solving
them. The questionnaire was used in personal interviews. The simple correlation coefficient and ascending stepwise multiple regression analysis were used to describe and analyze the study data. The results showed that the 62% respondents had a high tendency towards innovation in the field of agriculture. There are eleven independent variables that contributed to explain the variation in the degree of economic return for rural people, these previous eleven
variables are explained by 83.6% of the variation occurring in the added value of geranium. There are five independent variables that contribute to explain the variation occurring in the added value degree of chamomile plants, the value of the coefficient of determination for these variables was 0.45.
