يتناول البحث دراسة وصفية تحليلية لآثار "ونن-نفر" بن "يويو" الذي تَقَلد لقب الكاهن الأعلى لإيسة في كهنوت مدينة أبيدوس في عَهْد الملك ستي الثاني من الأسرة التاسعة عشر، وتَتَضح سيرته الذاتية ونَشأته الدينية المبكرة في كهنوت أوزير بأبيدوس من خلال آثاره. يَنتمي "ونن-نفر" إلى عائلة كهنوتية عريقة ترجع جوزورها إلى مدينة هرموبوليس من الإقليم الخامس عشر لمصر السُفلى، كان جده الأكبر "ثياي" كاهن أعلى للمعبود تحوت قبل نقله لرئاسة كهنوت أبيدوس مطلع الأسرة التاسعة عشر وعن طريق مصاهرته للكاهن الأعلى لأوزير "حات" أخذ المنصب ينتقل بالتوالي بين أجيال هذه الأسرة، حيث اقترنت أسماء سبعة أبناء منهم بلقب الكاهن الأعلى لأوزير في الأسرة التاسعة عشر. أظهرت دراسته الآثرية الألقاب التي تقلدها فهو كاهن المعبود أوزير وكاهن المعبود حور، لكن يبدو أن حلمه الأكبر كان رئاسة كهنوت أوزير والذي بمثابة رئاسة كهنوت معبودات أبيدوس مجتمعة، وقد عَبر عن رغبته بوضوح في سيرته الذاتية وكم كان يستحق هذا مُعللًا ذلك بخدمته للمعبود في صباه، حيث حَرصت العائلات الكهنوتية على نهج توريث مناصبهم لأنجالهم والذي كان يبدأ بإلحاق الأبناء الصغار في خدمة المعبد. The research deals with a descriptive and analytical study of the monuments of the High Priest of Ist Wenenufer son of Yuyu, who held this title in the city of Abydos during the reign of King Seti II of the nineteenth Dynasty, and his biography and upbringing since childhood in the Abydos priesthood appear through his Monuments. Wenenufer belongs to an ancient priestly family whose roots go back to the city of Hermopolis from the fifteenth nom of lower Egypt, his great-grand father was the high priest of deity Thot before he was transferred to the presidency of the priesthood of Abydos at the beginning of the nineteenth dynasty then through his affinity to the high priest of Osiris Hat, the office  was passed respectively between the generations of this family, with the names of seven of them were associated with the title of high priest of Osiris in nineteenth dynasty. His archaeological studies showed the titles he held, as he is priest of deity Osiris and deity Hor, but it seems that his biggest dream was to preside over the priesthood of Osiris, which is the presidency of the priesthood of deities of Abydos collectively, he clearly expressed his desire in his biography and how much he deserved this, citing his service to the god in his youth, as priestly families were keen on the approach inheritance their position to their sons, which began with the enrollment of young children in the service of the temple.
