تشير نظرية التزود الي ان الشركة تقرر دفع التوزيعات لتلبية طلب المستثمرين المرتبط بمكافأة التوزيعات التي تؤدي إلى هذا الطلب، وتمتنع عن دفع التوزيعات في حالة عدم وجود طلب، وقد ركزت هذه الدراسة على تأثير دوافع التزود على سياسة التوزيعات في تداول السعودية بالفترة (2014 – 2023)، وذلك من خلال التحقق من تأثير دوافع التزود على سياسة التوزيعات. وكذلك التحقق من تأثير دوافع التزود على تغير التوزيعات، وقد توصلت نتائج الدراسة الي وجود توزيعات التزود كعامل هام لسياسة التوزيعات في السعودية، وجود علاقة ذات دلالة معنوية بين دوافع التزود والتي تم التعبير عنها بمتغير مكافأة التوزيعات على سياسة التوزيعات والتي تم التعبير عنها بمتغير نسبة توزيع الأرباح في المملكة العربية السعودية، كما توصلت الدراسة الي ان نظرية التزود تلعب دورًا مهمًا في التأثير على قرار المديرين بتغيير التوزيعات، حيث أظهرت النتائج ان هناك علاقة ذات دلالة معنوية ايجابية بين مكافأة التوزيعات والزيادة في التوزيعات، وعلاقة ذات دلالة معنوية سالبة بين مكافأة التوزيعات والنقص في التوزيعات..
The catering theory indicates that the company decides to pay dividends to meet the investors' demand associated with the dividend premium that leads to this demand, and refrains from paying dividends in the absence of demand. This study focused on the impact of catering incentives on the dividend policy in the Saudi stock Exchange during the period (2014-2023), by verifying the impact of catering incentives on the dividend policy. As well as verifying the impact of catering incentives on the change in dividends. The results of the study concluded that the catering dividends are an important factor in the dividend policy in Saudi Arabia, and that there is a significant relationship between catering incentives, on the dividend policy, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study also concluded that the catering theory plays an important role in influencing managers' decision to change dividends, as the results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between the dividend premium and the increase in dividends, and a significant negative relationship between the dividend premium and the decrease in dividends.
