Populism is not an integrated ideological tradition, as much as it is a bundle of ideas that appear mixed with diverse ideologies that reach the point of contradiction. Populism lacks clarity and unified intellectual premises. Thus, there were many intellectual visions in defining populism. Jan Werner Müller presented a political theory of populism as a moral force, rather than simply a rallying cry. Ernesto Laclau viewed populism as a political strategy that divides society into two basic groups: the elite and the people, and these two poles form around the borders of the political conflict itself. As for Jacques Rancière, he launched an attack on populism, because the use of populism is tainted by chaos, tyranny, and devoid of any meaning.
