تناول البحث التغيرات في معدلات الخصوبة الكلية، معدلات الخصوبة العمرية، ومعدلات المواليد الخام في السعودية من 2004 إلى 2022، بهدف فهم التباينات الإقليمية. استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي باستخدام بيانات تعداد السكان لعام 2004، 2010، 2022، بالإضافة إلى تقارير الهيئة العامة للإحصاء. أظهر البحث انخفاضًا في معدلات الخصوبة والمواليد، حيث انخفض معدل الخصوبة الكلية من 5 ولادات لكل امرأة في 2004 إلى 3 في 2022. كما انخفض معدل المواليد الخام من 26.6 إلى 18.9 لكل ألف شخص. شهدت الرياض ومكة أكبر انخفاضات، بينما كانت تبوك الأقل انخفاضًا. أوصى البحث بفهم أسباب التباين الإقليمي وتطوير سياسات تتناسب مع الخصائص الديموغرافية والاجتماعية لكل منطقة، مع تحسين الخدمات الصحية والتعليمية.

The study examined changes in total fertility rates, age-specific fertility rates, and crude birth rates in Saudi Arabia from 2004 to 2022, aiming to understand regional disparities. The descriptive-analytical method was used with data from the 2004, 2010, and 2022 population censuses, along with reports from the General Authority for Statistics. The study found a decline in fertility and birth rates, with the total fertility rate decreasing from 5 to 3 births per woman. The crude birth rate dropped from 26.6 to 18.9 per 1,000 people. Riyadh and Makkah had the largest declines, while Tabuk had the smallest. The study recommends understanding the reasons for regional disparities and developing policies tailored to the demographic and social characteristics of each region, along with improving health and educational services.
