إن العلاقات المصرية الأمريكية تأثرت بالإدارات المتعاقبة وتوجهاتها المختلفة، وذلك مع مجموعة من الثوابت أبرزها الدور القيادي للبلدين إن كان لواشنطن على المستوى الدولي، أو القاهرة على المستوى الإقليمي، وهو ما خلق مساحة مشتركة من التفاهم والسعي المشترك من أجل تخطى وتجاوز الفجوات، لكن ظلت الدبلوماسيات بين البلدين عرضة للتغيير.
والمتابع لإدارة الولايات المتحدة الخارجية، بإمكانه ملاحظة الفروق بين قناعات الخارجية إبان الإدارة الأمريكية الديمقراطية، والإدارة الأمريكية الجمهورية، كون الديمقراطية تحكمها مجموعة من القناعات الليبرالية المتعلقة بالحقوق، الحريات، ضرورة المساواة بين الأفراد، أما الإدارة الجمهورية ترتبط بالفكر اليميني المتقدم، وما يتعلق به من توجهات محافظة.
ومن هنا تسعى الباحثة خلال هذه الدراسة من أجل معرفة أثر التغير في الإدارة الأمريكية سواء كانت ديمقراطية أو جمهورية كعامل مؤثر في العلاقات المصرية الأمريكية.
The US-Egyptian relations have been influenced by successive administrations and their varying orientations. However, there have been certain constants, most notably the leadership roles of both Washington on the international level and Cairo on the regional level. This shared leadership has created a common ground for understanding and a joint endeavor to overcome differences. Nevertheless, diplomacy between the two countries has remained subject to change.
Those who follow US foreign policy can observe the differences between the beliefs of the US State Department under Democratic and Republican administrations. Democratic administrations are generally guided by liberal beliefs related to rights, freedoms, and the need for equality among individuals. Republican administrations, on the other hand, are associated with advanced conservative thought.
This research aims to examine the impact of changes in US administrations, whether Democratic or Republican, as a factor influencing US-Egyptian relations.
