ملخص البحث:
يهدف البحث إلى بيان التطور الحضاري في المدينة المنورة في عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز-رحمه الله-، واستخدم الباحث المنهج التاريخي القائم على الوصف والتحليل، لجمع البيانات والمعلومات من خلال تحليل الوثائق الرسمية والدوريات والكتابات والدراسات وغيرها، وقد تكون البحث من مقدمة، وتمهيد، وستة مباحث توزعت على النحو الآتي: المقدمة وتشمل: (تساؤلات الدراسة، أهداف البحث، أهمية البحث، حدود البحث، الدراسات السابقة، الفرق بين البحث الحالي والدراسات السابقة، منهج البحث، خطة البحث)، وأما محتوى البحث التطور الحضاري، ففيه ستة مباحث: المبحث الأول: توسعة المسجد النبوي، والمبحث الثاني: مشروع إنشاء الإسكان التنموي، والمبحث الثالث: تطوير خدمات الطرق والمواصلات، والمبحث الرابع: إنشاء وتطوير مشاريع الصحة، والمبحث الخامس: التوسع الإنشائي في خدمات المياه والكهرباء، والمبحث السادس: تطوير قطاع الاتصالات، وختم البحث بخاتمة: تضمنت (النتائج – التوصيات-المقترحات)، وكان من أهم النتائج والتوصيات الآتي:
-     إن المدينة المنورة حظيت باهتمام كبير وملموس من قبل خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبد العزيز -رحمه الله- في كافة المجالات الحضارية والشواهد تضمنها البحث.
-     إن توسعت المسجد النبوي الشريف تصدرت اهتمامات الملك عبد الله-رحمه الله- فكان ضمن التطور الحضاري للمدينة المنورة.
-     إن تنوع التطور الحضاري والعمراني في المدينة المنورة من الشواهد القوية على التطور الكبير للمدينة في عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله-رحمه الله.
وأوصى الباحث بمجموعة من التوصيات أهمها:
-     تضمين المناهج الدراسية مجموعة من المآثر والأعمال التي قام بها الملك عبد الله-رحمه الله-وإخوانه الملوك وأعمال المؤسس -طيب الله ثراه.

    إظهار أهم التطورات الحضارية التي حظيت به المدينة المنورة في عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله-رحمه الله- وذلك من خلال مجموعة من الفعاليات المختلفة.

Abstract:
The research aims to demonstrate the urban development in Madinah 'Almadina Almunawara' during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz - may Allah have mercy upon him. The researcher adopts the historical method based on description and analysis to collect data and information by analyzing official documents, periodicals, writings, studies, and others. The research consists of an introduction, a preface, and six sections that are distributed as follows. As for the introduction, it includes research questions, research objectives, research significance, research limits, previous studies and literature review, difference between the current research and previous studies, research methodology, research plan. The content of the main research part is on urban development and it includes six sections. The first section: The expansion of the Prophet's Mosque. The second section: The project of establishing developmental housing. The third section: Developing road and transportation services. The fourth section: Establishing and developing health projects. The fifth section: The constructional expansion in water and electricity services. The sixth section: Developing the communication sector. The research ends with a conclusion that includes findings, recommendations, and suggestions. The most important findings and recommendations are as follows:
- Madinah has indeed received great and tangible attention from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz - may Allah have mercy upon him - in all urban fields. Much evidence is contained in this research.
- The expansion of the Prophet's Mosque was a top priority for King Abdullah - may Allah have mercy upon him - and it was a cornerstone of the urban development of Madinah.
- The diverse civilizational and urban developments in Madinah is one of the strong evidences of the great development that Madinah witnessed during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah - may Allah have mercy upon him.
The researcher comes up with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
- School curricula must include a set of the achievements and feats of King Abdullah - may Allah have mercy upon him - and his brothers, the kings, and the works of the founder king - may God bless his soul.
- The most important urban developments that Madinah witnessed during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah - may Allah have mercy upon him - must be manifested through a set of different events.
