Abstract

Background: In light of an innovative leadership and clinical governance climate,
nurses can face everything that hinders them and turn these obstacles into the means
to facilitate their performance. Aim: to assess innovative leadership and clinical
governance climate as perceived by nurses. Research design: A descriptive
correlational design was used. Setting: The study was done in El Mogamma El Tabie
Hospital which is affiliated to the health insurance hospitals in El Gharbia
Governorate. Subjects: All (N=260) nurses were
included. Tools: Two tools were
utilized to collect the data,
Innovative Leadership and Clinical Governance Climate
Structured Questionnaire.
Results: More than half (57.7 %& 53.9 %) of nurses had a
moderate perception level regarding
innovative leadership and clinical governance
climate.
Conclusion: There was a highly positive statistically significant correlation
between innovative leadership and clinical governance climate.
Recommendations:
Head nurse
creates a learning environment where every nurse can contribute and
grow through conduct
workshops and training programs, support innovation as a job
requirement, and spreading justice culture among nurses and health care team.
