Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the most significant outcomes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the technology of the future, given its role in driving change and modernization across various fields, particularly in arts and design. AI is advancing at an unprecedented pace, bringing about transformative changes in human life. With rapid technological development and global transformations, AI is poised to become the engine of progress, growth, and prosperity in the coming years. It is now a broad term encompassing applications that perform complex tasks, which previously required considerable human intervention, saving time, effort, and money through its diverse capabilities.
Specifically, in the field of graphic ART, AI has sparked the core idea of this research through the following question: What is the impact of artificial intelligence on arts, graphic design, and artistic printing? This study provides an overview of AI's use in graphic art as a pivotal force reshaping design visions and solutions with more precision and modernity. The topic is vital and relevant, highlighting the enormous benefits AI has brought to graphic design, where it has become an indispensable partner for designers on their journey toward creativity and inspiration, rather than a replacement for artists or designers.
Using a descriptive-analytical methodology, with temporal boundaries spanning from the emergence of AI to the present day. The study also analyzes models of artistic and graphic works in Western and Arab contexts, emphasizing the importance and objectives of this research. The findings confirm that AI serves as a supportive tool, not a substitute, for designers and artists. The study concludes with recommendations to further harness AI's potential in design.
