Abstract

Abstract: The research discusses the concept of semiology in ancient Egyptian civilization, beginning with defining art as an activity that expresses human thoughts and concepts through painting or sculpture. It explains that art plays a key role in communication between people and in conveying emotions and ideas, while also contributing to the documentation of cultures and traditions. The study describes how the ancient Egyptians used art to represent the beauty of their civilization and to transmit culture and emotions across generations. It refers to the symbols, drawings, and inscriptions on the walls of temples and tombs, which reflect the perceptions and beliefs of the ancient Egyptians about life and death. It also examines the unique artistic techniques used to depict scenes and the importance of details in expressing values and ideas. In conclusion, the research illustrates how the ancient Egyptians skillfully used art and semiology to convey their messages effectively, which helped in passing down their civilization and culture to future generations .
