هدف البحث إلى التعرف على مدى تفاعل ذوي الإعاقة في المشاركة السياسية بمحافظة الأقصر، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تم استخدام وتطبيق منهج دراسة الحالة ودليل المقابلة على عدد (عشرون حالة) حيث تم اختيار عدد ( 5) حالات من ذوي الإعاقة  السمعية، وعدد (5) حالات من ذوي الاعاقة البصرية، وعدد (5) حالات من ذوي الإعاقة الحركية، وعدد (5) حالات من ذوي الإعاقة الذهنية، وذلك لمراعاة الاعتبارات الآتيه أن تشمل الحالات ريف وحضر وذكور وإناث تنوع في طبيعة ونوع الإعاقة تنوع في الخصائص من حيث السن والحالة التعليمية والاجتماعية والمهنية. ولقد أسفرت نتائج البحث عن يوجد دعم من قبل الدولة في توفير مقاعد داخل المجالس النيابية لأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، كما كشفت الدراسة أن هناك نسبة كبيرة من ذوي الإعاقة لا يرغبون في الترشح للمجالس النيابية لأنهم ليس لديهم من الوعي سياسي ما يؤهلهم في تولي هذه المناصب، بينما أظهرت الدراسة أن هناك علاقة ايجابية بين مستوى التعليم لأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وبين توليهم مناصب صنع القرار ومشاركتهم السياسية.  Abstract
The research aimed to identify the extent of the interaction of people with disabilities in political participation in the Luxor Gover-norate. To achieve this goal, the case study method and the interview guide were used and ap-plied to several (twenty cases), where (5) cases of people with hearing disa-bilities were selected, (5) cases of people with visual disabilities, (5) cases of people with motor disabilities, and (5) cases of people with mental disa-bilities. This is to consider the following: cases include rural and urban, males and females, diversity in the nature and type of disability, and diversi-ty in characteristics regarding age, educa-tional, social, and professional sta-tus. The results of the research showed that there is support from the state in providing seats in parliament for persons with disabilities. The study also revealed that a large per-centage of people with disabilities do not want to run for parliament because they do not have the political awareness that qua-li-fies them to hold these positions, while the study showed that there is a positive rela-tionship between the level of education of people with disabili-ties and their holding of decision-making positions and their politi-cal par-ticipation.
