هدف البحث إلى التعرف على المشكلات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لساكني البيئات المعزولة (جزيرة الوراق نموذجا)، وتكونت عينة البحث من (300) مفردة من ساكني جزيرة الوراق (بين البحرين) من الذكور والإناث، ينتمي البحث إلى البحوث الوصفية التي تهدف إلى وصف وتحليل الظاهرة موضوع الدراسة باستخدام منهج المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة عن طريق تطبيق استمارة استبيان عن المشكلات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي تواجه ساكني جزيرة الوراق وتضمنت (أولا:البيانات الأولية،ثانيا: العلاقات الأسرية، ثالثا:المشكلات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لساكني الجزيرة متمثلة في المشكلات الصحية، المشكلات التعليمية، المشكلات البيئية، المشكلات المهنية، الخدمات الدينيةوالترفيهية، رابعا: الخدمات التي يقدمها المسئولين للمنطقة)، وأستعانت الباحثة بالنظريات الآتية (النظرية الوظيفية- نظرية النسق الايكولوجي، مدخل الهامشية،نظرية الضغوط البيئية)، وتوصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: نجد أن الأسر في الجزيرة أسر ممتدة يعيش الآباء والابناء المتزوجين في نفس المنزل ذات الطابقين أوالثلاثة كلا منهم في طابق، معظم أقاربهم ومعارفهم يعيشوا في الجزيرة وهذا من أسباب ارتباطهم لشديد بالجزيرة وعدم رغبتهم في الخروج منها، الشوارع في الجزيرة مقسمة وممهدة وتتكون المساكن من عدة طوابق بسيطةمن الطوب الأحمر متقاربة من بعض مبنية بدون تخطيط معماري، ولا توجد شبكة صرف صحي بل يعتمد الأهالي على الطرنشات وتعتبر من أصعب المشاكل التي يواجهونها، ولا توجد مياه صالحة للشرب، لا توجد خدمات صحيةبالجزيرة فلا توجد مستشفي أوعيادة شاملة أومركز صحي بالجزيرة، لا توجد خدمات تعليمية بالجزيرة، فلا توجد مدرسةأوحضانة، فالأهالي يلجأوا لإلحاق أبنائهم للمدارس الموجودة بالوراق،ومن أهم التوصيات التي توصل إليها البحث محاولة الاهتمام بالخدمات العامة داخل الجزر مثل توفير خدمات البنية التحتية من مياه صالحة للشرب وصرف صحي، توفير خدمات عامة من مستشفي أومركز صحي، مدرسة، عمل كوبري يربط الجزر بالمناطق المقابلة لها بدلا من استخدام المعدية.
The research aimed to identify the social and economic problems of residents of isolated environments (Warraq Island as an example). The research sample consisted of (300) individuals from the residents of Warraq Island (between Bahrain), male and female,The research belongs to descriptive research that aims to describe and analyze the phenomenon that is the subject of the study using the sample social survey method by applying a questionnaire on the social and economic problems facing the residents of Warraq Island, It included (First: Primary data, 2- Second: Family relations, Third: The social and economic problems of the island's residents represented by health problems, educational problems, environmental problems, professional problems, religious and Entertainmentservices, Fourth: Services provided by officials to the region) , and the researcher used the following theories (functional theory - ecological system theory, marginality approach, environmental pressures theory), The research reached several results, the most important of which are: We find that families on the island are extended families. Parents and married children live in the same house with two or three floors, each of them on a floor. Most of their relatives live on the island, and this is one of the reasons for their strong connection to the island and not Their desire to get out of it,the streets on the island are divided and paved, and the building consist of several simple floors of red brick, close together, built without architectural planning, and there is no Internet network.            There is no sewage network, and people rely on Tarnshat, which is considered one of the most difficult problems they face, there is no Drinkable water. There are no health services on the island. There is no hospital, comprehensive clinic, or health center on the island. There are no educational services on the island. There is no school or nursery. People resort to catch up their children in schools in Al-Warraq,One of the most important recommendations reached by the research is an attempt to pay attention to public services within the islands, such as providing infrastructure services such as Drinkable water and sanitation, providing public services such as a hospital or health center, a school, and constructing a bridge linking the islands to the areas opposite them instead of using the ferryboat.
