Background: Serum amyloid A (SAA) is a major conserved and sensitive acute phase protein that is highly expressed in response to inflammation and tissue injury. This study aimed to determine the value of SAA detected by a sensitive and automatized ELISA method aberrantly healthy children from 4 years to 7 years and to investigate the correlation between SAA and CRP.
