This study targeted Matrouh Governorate and was conducted on a simple random sample of 377 respondents. It is a simple random sample. The data were collected using a questionnaire with a personal interview designed for this purpose during the months of April and May 2024 AD. The researcher used numerical inventory tables and percentages, chi-square (Chi2), and simple correlation coefficient to analyze the data and present the results. The results showed a significant relationship at a significance level of 0.01 between the variables of gender, educational qualification, social status, and job, of the respondents and contemporary social problems. The calculated chi-square values ​​were 198.263, 366.646, 663.268, and 980.345, respectively, which are greater than their tabular counterparts. The results also showed that there is a significant direct correlation between the variables of age, number of family members of the respondents and contemporary social problems, as the simple correlation coefficient values ​​calculated reached 246.517, respectively. The results also showed that there is a significant inverse correlation between the variables of monthly income, agricultural holdings of the respondents and contemporary social problems, as the simple correlation coefficient values ​​calculated reached -0.233, -0.218 respectively.
