Abstract

This research explores the importance of promoting the concept of sustainability in printmaking amidst contemporary transformations, highlighting art as a crucial tool for environmental preservation and supporting sustainable development issues. Given the profound global changes, it has become essential to adopt alternative techniques and materials that help conserve natural resources and reduce negative environmental impacts.

Printmaking as a creative practice offers artists the opportunity to use environmentally friendly materials and avoid toxic substances, thereby supporting artistic sustainability. The research also encourages critical reflection on the use of printing techniques such as lithography with polyester plates, digital printing, and screen printing to support sustainability. It showcases artistic experiments that combine innovation with environmental awareness. The significance of the research lies in its emphasis on experimentation and innovation in the creative process through the use of printmaking practices that support sustainability.
The importance of this research lies in its focus on how art, particularly printmaking, can serve as a powerful medium for advocating for the environment and promoting sustainable development. It emphasizes the need for innovation in materials and techniques to ensure that art practices contribute positively to the global effort of reducing environmental harm while promoting social and cultural sustainability.
