This research mainly aimed to identify the behavior of livestock breeders towards preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease in Beheira Governorate, which can be achieved through the following sub-objectives: identifying some of the distinctive personal characteristics of the breeders in question, identifying the behavior of the studied breeders towards preventive measures for fever disease. foot-and-mouth disease in the research area through: (a) identifying the level of knowledge of the breeders studied about preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease, (b) Identifying the trend of the studied educators towards preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease, (c) Identifying the level of implementation of the preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease by the studied educators, studying the correlational and regression relationships between the independent variables studied and the behavior of the studied educators towards preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease. Identify the most important problems facing livestock breeders related to foot-and-mouth disease, and their proposals for solving them.
The research results showed that more than half of the respondents (54.2%) had a low and medium level of knowledge about preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease, and that nearly three-quarters of the respondents (74.2%) had negative and neutral attitudes towards preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease. Nearly three-quarters of the respondents (73.5%) have a low and medium level of implementation of preventive measures for foot-and-mouth disease, and it was possible to list the most important proposals mentioned by the breeders surveyed to overcome the problems they face to prevent foot-and-mouth disease, and they were arranged in descending order according to their frequency from the point of view of the breeders surveyed as follows: Providing veterinary services and their support by the government at a rate of 69.6%, providing A sufficient number of specialists and veterinarians in veterinary units, at a rate of 66.9%, and conducting national campaigns to vaccinate farm animals, at a rate of 66.2%.
