هدفت الدراسة إلى كشف اللثام عن الآيات التي قيل نزلت في عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه، وردّ بعض الأباطيل التي يتشبث بها الجاهلون، ونقضها بالمنهج العلمي القويم. استخدم الباحث المنهج الاستقرائي والتحليلي في هذا البحث عن طريق جمع أسباب النزول التي ذكر المفسرون أنها نزلت في عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه مع الحكم عليها صحة وضعفاً، ثم توجيهها توجيهاً صحيحاً. وبلغت المواضع التي تم دراستها اثني عشر (12) موضعاً. وتناول المبحث الأول: ترجمة عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه، وبيان للمراد بأسباب النزول وأهميتها. وتناول المبحث الثاني: المواضع التي نزلت في عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه، وكان عددها (12) موضعاً. The research aimed at studying the Qur'anic verses revealed about Othman bin Affan, May God bless him, and rejecting some of the falsehoods that the ignorant cling to, and contradicting them with the sound scientific approach. The researcher used the inductive and analytical approach in this research by collecting the reasons for the revelation that the interpreters mentioned were revealed about Othman bin Affan, may God bless him, judging them as whether they were true or weak, then directing them correctly. The places studied were twelve (12) places. The first section dealt with: the translation of Othman bin Affan, may God bless him, and an explanation of what is meant by the reasons for the revelation and their importance. The second section dealt with the places that were revealed about Othman bin Affan, May God bless him, and their count was (12) places.
