فإن الملاحظ في مجتمعنا شكوى الكثيرين من الشباب والشابات من البطالة، وتشوفهم لأعمال مكتبية أو تعليمية ، ولا يفكر أغلبهم في أمر ثالث غيرهما. بل إن أكثرهم يعزفون بل يأنفون من العمل اليدوي ,مما خلق تحدياً يعيشه المجتمع بأسره وانعكس ذلك سلباً على واقعنا فلا تجد شاباً سعودياً نجاراً أو خياطاً
أو سباكاً أو كهربائياً إلا ما ندر، وإن كان يوجد بعض المزارعين السعوديين ولكن ينظر إليهم بنظرة دونية ،ولا شك أن هذا خطر يهدد مستقبلنا الاقتصادي
لو استمر الأمر على هذه الحال لا قدر الله ، وكأنه قد غاب عن أكثرهم فضل العمل اليدوي وما ورد فيه من الأحاديث التي هي في أعلى درجات الصحة ، ويغلب على ظني أن مثل هذه الأحاديث لو كانت حاضرة في أذهان كثير من الشباب والشابات وخصوصاً من يوصفون بالاستقامة لتغير الحال بإذن الله وذلك لحرصهم على ما يرضي الله ، ومنه الكسب الطيب، لتقبل دعواتهم وصدقاتهم , ولذلك جمعت في هذا البحث ما وقفت عليه من الأحاديث في فضل العمل اليدوي عموماً ، وفضل بعض الأعمال خصوصاً ، ولم أقتصر على ما ثبت منها، بل ذكرت في البحث ما وقفت عليه حتى وإن كان ضعيفاً أو شديد الضعف ليعلم المسلم الدليل الصحيح من السقيم ثم ترتيب الأحاديث موضوعيا  وبيان ما فيها من غريب أو حكم شرعي أو فائدة حديثية إن وجدشئ من ذلك في كتب الفقه
أو الشروح الحديثية أو كتب اللغة  ، ولكني استبعدت الأحاديث الموضوعة
أو التي لم أقف عليها مسندة مثل مايذكر أن رسول الله صافح رجلا فوجد خشونة في يد الرجل من آثار العمل فقال :هذه يد يحبها الله ورسوله  الا ان كان هناك فائدة كإشتهار الحديث مثل كان إدريس خياطا فأذكره لأبين سبب وضعه. What is observed in our society is that many young men and women complain of unemployment, and are seeking office or educational work, and most of them do not think about any third matter other than these two. In fact, most of them play music and even abstain from manual labor, which has created a challenge for the entire society, and this has had a negative impact on our reality. You do not find a young Saudi carpenter, tailor, plumber, or electrician except rarely, although there are some Saudi farmers, but they are viewed with an inferiority view, without a doubt. This is a danger that threatens our economic future if things continue like this, God forbid. It is as if most of them have lost sight of the virtue of manual labor and the hadiths contained therein that are of the highest degree of health. I think it is likely that such hadiths would have been present in the minds of many people. Young men and women, especially those who are described as upright, will change their situation, God willing, because of their eagerness to do what pleases God, including good earnings, so that their supplications and alms will be accepted. Therefore, in this research, I collected what I came across from the hadiths regarding the virtue of manual labor in general, and the virtue of some work in particular, and I did not limit myself to what It is proven from them. Rather, I mentioned in the research what I found, even if it was weak or very weak, so that the Muslim would know the correct evidence from the weak, then arrange the hadiths objectively and explain what is strange in them, or a legal ruling, or a hadith benefit, if any of that is found in the books of jurisprudence, hadith explanations, or other books. Language, but I excluded hadiths that were fabricated or that I did not find as evidence, such as what mentions that the Messenger of God shook hands with a man and found roughness in the man's hand from the effects of work, so he said: This is a hand that God and His Messenger love, unless there is a benefit such as the fame of the hadith, such as Idris being a tailor, so I mention it to explain the reason for his situation.
