The issue of rationalizing the use of water resources is one of the most pressing issues raised at all levels in Egyptian society at the present time. This is because many aspects of extravagance and waste affect the behavior of individuals in Egyptian society for long periods. However, with the social and economic changes those have swept the world and affected society and life. In Egypt in particular, it was necessary to conduct a comprehensive review of the volume of water resources available in society, research how to use them, and rationalize the consumption behavior of individuals at all levels and with regard to all forms of available resources. Hence, and for some time now, successive Egyptian governments have resorted to making many amendments and measures to reduce water resources. One of the aspects of waste, extravagance and rationalization of the use of resources. The research aimed to study the impact of social awareness on rationalizing water use through:  (1) Identify the nature of natural resources, with a focus on water resources. (2) The appropriate strategy to solve the obstacles facing the development of water resources. (3) Studying the impact of social awareness in rationalizing water use (some centers in Beheira Governorate in general). To achieve its objectives, the research depends on both descriptive and quantitative analysis methods to describe and clarify the research objectives under study and on a questionnaire form to determine the extent of respondents' awareness of rationalizing water use. The research also relied on published and unpublished primary and secondary data from agencies that issue them, such as the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, in addition to master's and doctoral theses, scientific research, and books interested in this field.
