Infrastructure plays a crucial role in economic development, providing essential services such as energy, transportation, water supply, and waste management. However, traditional infrastructure systems heavily rely on fossil fuels, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and exacerbating climate change. As Egypt strives to achieve its sustainable development goals, it is essential to understand the impact of infrastructure investment on climate change and explore strategies to mitigate these effects. (Al-Shakhaibi and Suleiman, 2020, 35). this paper examines the relationship between infrastructure investment and climate change in Egypt, by providing a comprehensive analysis of the current infrastructure landscape, climate change vulnerabilities, and the potential for infrastructure development to contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation. The paper will also explore the policy and regulatory framework, financing mechanisms, and social and environmental impacts associated with infrastructure projects. To investigate the impact of infrastructure investment on climate change in Egypt, a time series methodology was held, using OLS two stages model, The time series extends from 1990 to 2020, and annual data sourced from the World Bank and the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the sample includes 30 observations. The results of the model showed that the relationship between infrastructure investment and climate change in Egypt is significant in the long term.
