This study of cybernetic communication according to posts posted on Facebook is part of the semi-cognitive study analyzing readers' interpretations of these same posts. It is focused on the communication between the admin and his followers by visual signs that represent stimuli encouraging followers to interpret them.
Our analysis will focus on the signs of posts on Facebook by applying the Peircian approach (meaning, signified, referent) and on the other hand by applying the theory of relevance of Dan Sperber & Dedier Wilson on the truthfulness of different interpretations of the same post. This work will allow us to answer this essential question: is there a communicative relevance between the admin and his followers?
The analysis revealed that cyber communication is subject to the principle of truthfulness. Given the indirect nature of communication on Facebook, the principle of communicative relevance between the admin and his followers is not obvious. The admin does not know if the followers will decode the true meaning of his message or not, since certain circumstances influence the inference of the information, namely the cultural context and the analogue knowledge.
