Abstract

The main goal of this research is to solve the problem of the African Rose plum, including its poor quality and low sugar content, the problem of the lack of hardness in the Pioneer plum, the difficulty of handling it, and the short lifespan of the fruit after harvesting. To improve the quality of African Rose fruits and increase the hardness of Pioneer fruits, the following treatments were used; 1- Potassium boron 3 g/L, 2- Potassium boron 3 g/L + Calcium chloride 4 g/L + boric acid 1 g/L, 3- Potassium boron 3 g /L + Potassium silicate 3 cm 3 /L, 4- Potassium boron 3cm3 /L+ Chitosan (4%) 3 cm 3/L, 5- Potassium silicate 3 cm 3 /L, 6- Potassium silicate 3 cm/L + Chitosan (4%) 3 cm 3/L. 7- Chitosan (4% (3 cm 3/L, 8- Calcium chloride 4 g /L, boric acid 1 g/L, 9- Calcium chloride 4 g /L + Copper sulfate 0.8 g /L, 10-  Calcium chloride 4 g /L+ Magnesium sulfate 1%, 11- Control. Yield/ tree, fruit attributes, fruit firmness (TSS and TA at zero time and after shelf life), and elements were assessed. T9 was statistically the best treatment increased yield, fruit firmness at zero time and after shelf life, low decay fruits and fruit weight loss, highest leaves' calcium content, maximum Net profit at harvest on Pioneer and maximum net profit after shelf life for two weeks for African Rose and for one week for Pioneer. T2 gave the highest significant fruit quality parameters.
