Abstract

The research focuses on the necessity for sculptors to adjust proportions when scaling up sculptural works. By employing 3D modeling and simulating human vision, the study investigates how altering proportions affects the viewer's perception of large art pieces. Key findings suggest that maintaining the correct viewing distances and angles is crucial to preserving the artwork's visual integrity, Experiments conducted illustrate the complexity of human vision and its implications on viewing large sculptures. The research emphasizes the need for careful consideration of the sculpture's height and the observer's distance to ensure that the artwork is perceived as intended. Adjustments in certain parts, such as the head and shoulders, are highlighted as essential when scaling up to avoid distortion due to perspective and lighting effects,The article concludes that modern three-dimensional software tools are invaluable for sculptors, allowing them to preview and adjust their work in a virtual environment before finalizing the physical piece. This technological approach ensures that both the aesthetic and proportional integrity of the sculpture are maintained, enhancing the viewer's experience and interaction with the artwork,The research significantly contributes to the field by providing a detailed analysis of the visual dynamics involved in the perception of scaled sculptures and offering practical solutions for sculptors to achieve desired artistic effects.
