The theme of this research paper aims to discuss and unveil the nature and concept of stars and the significance of the orbits of the spheres in ancient Egypt through an applied study on one of the ancient Egyptian sources known as the Pyramid Texts. This study will attempt to answer the question 'Did the stars and planetary orbits have a clear significance in the Pyramid Texts?'. The stars caught the attention of the ancient Egyptians since the early ages of ancient Egyptian history, which made the ancient Egyptians fond of trying to observe and know the secrets of many of the astronomical phenomena surrounding them in the sky and its paths, and tried to record them on archaeological evidence for scientific or artistic purposes or both, which resulted in recordings and maps of the zodiac signs and tables containing the locations of stars, bodies and planets with the aim of measuring time and observing various astronomical phenomena, and knowing the movement of celestial bodies and planets. The ancient Egyptians linked the orbits of the heaven and the world of the earth in myths, some of which were imaginary and others seemed real, this was by linking the goddess Isis to the star spdt (Sirius) and considered her an embodiment of it, also considered the star Orion (sAH) a spirit and embodiment of the god Osiris. Perhaps this is where the religious tendency of the ancient Egyptians began when he linked astronomical phenomena to the manifestations and embodiments of the Egyptian deities. It is worth noting that the ancient Egyptians did not worship the stars or offer them any offerings as deities as was the case in Babylon and Assyria, but rather he combined them and linked them to the Egyptian deities. The sky was also the world in which the ancient Egyptians saw after death the innocent shining in it as eternal stars, as they are the ones that do not perish or set. This study will be disclosed through the investigation, discussion, analysis, which can be addressed through an examination of the elements or structure of the study content, typically as a basis for discussion or interpretation to answer the main inquiry of this paper mentioned above.
