The Egyptian state, represented by its national institutions and authorities concerned with the field of preserving and maintaining heritage and archaeological buildings, has recently become one of the most important priorities of the Egyptian state. However, by examining maintenance projects for existing heritage buildings whose restoration has been completed, it was found that the steps for preparing a maintenance plan for a heritage building were not unified. The research problem came on this basis, through the field visits to the various restoration projects and the necessary interviews, it was found that there are no steps stipulated by the concerned authorities for the maintenance plan, meaning that when starting to maintain a building, specific steps are not followed by the concerned authorities that the offices can follow.
