Abstract

The study aimed to explore the impact of knowledge management with its various dimensions on the quality of the performance of faculty members in Palestinian universities, specifically at Al-Azhar University at Gaza, as it is one of the largest universities in the Gaza Strip. It relied on the questionnaire tool and a stratified random sample was selected. It consisted of (144) faculty members, and various statistical methods were used. The results revealed that the level of knowledge management practice in all its dimensions (knowledge generation, knowledge storage, knowledge sharing, and knowledge application) came to a moderate degree. and that the level of quality of performance of all faculty members Its dimensions (the quality of teaching, the quality of scientific research. and the quality of community service and the university) were distinguished at a high level. The results also revealed that there is a statistically significant direct correlation between knowledge management and the quality of the performance of faculty members, and that there is a statistically significant effect of knowledge management on the quality of the performance of faculty members, and that the most influential dimension on the quality of performance is the “knowledge storage" dimension and the least Influencing is the “knowledge generation" dimension. It was observed that the two independent variables “Knowledge Storage and Knowledge Application" had a positive effect on the dependent variable “The Quality of the Teaching Staff's Performance". It also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the respondents' responses towards knowledge management and the quality of performance of faculty members that could be attributed to the variables: gender, academic qualification, academic classification or academic rank, type of college, and number of years of academic experience. In conclusion, the study presented a number of recommendations in this regard.
