Abstract

Point and confidence interval for the scale parameter 0, of the left and right truncated exponential distribution are considered using inverted gamma density as a prior distribution for 0. The estimation of the reliability function has also been carried out using Bayesian method. The Bayesian risk of the Bayesian estimators relative to the maximum likelihood estimators (MLE) are obtained and finally illustrative examples are included.
