The study mainly aimed to conduct a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon of youth turnout participation in the last presidential election, and to conduct a field study on students of the college of Agriculture at Alexandria University. The objectives of this study included identifying the extent of student's participation, the reasons and motivations for participation or non- participation, the relationship of some variables to participation, the role of the college of agriculture and Alexandria University in the participation, and to identify student's demands from the elected president. The field study was conducted on a sample of 200 students from the college of Agriculture.
The results of the study indicated that the participation rate of the students reached 74%. The most important reasons and motivation of participation were The students awareness and conviction that participation is their duty and their right, their concern for Egypt's image in the world, their desire to support the political leadership in order to preserve the security of the nation, their desire to continue the development process and as a result of the role of the college and university in encouraging them, as well as their sense of the increasing state interest in youth in recent years.
The results indicated the strong presence of statistically significant relationship between roles of the college and university and participation in presidential election. The results showed that there was a large agreement between the demands of the respondents from president Sisi and the goals that the president committed himself to achieving during his new presidency.
The study ended by discussing its important results and presenting some proposals to increase the effectiveness of the role of Youth in political participation.
