This study aims to analyze the requirements of knowledge management and its role in Human Resource Development. The descriptive-analytical approach was used, and data was collected through scientific references and previous studies. Under the knowledge-based knowledge economy, knowledge management has become one of the most important strategic elements for organizations to achieve success and excellence. Human Resources Development is one of the most important requirements of successful knowledge management, as it contributes to the development of the capabilities and skills of employees, and enhance their ability to generate and share knowledge, which contributes to improving the performance of the organization and achieving its goals. The study also confirmed that human resources development plays an important role in knowledge management, through: developing the capabilities of employees to generate and share knowledge, promoting a culture of creativity and innovation in the organization, encouraging continuous learning for employees.
