research aimed to determine degree of knowledge of the rural youth respondents in governorates of Sharkia, North Sinai about citizenship, and determine degree of their feeling about it and degree of their knowledge of the role played by youth centers in the development of citizenship, as well as the degree to which the centers play this role, and determine significance of relationship between the independent variables and total degree of their feeling of citizenship, and the significance of the differences between respondents, and to identify the most important obstacles that limit the role of youth centers in development of citizenship, where the centers of Minya al-Qamh from Sharkia, Bir al-Abd from North Sinai.
- The high level of knowledge of youth respondents about concept of citizenship, in the high-level category reached 62.5% in Sharkia, compared to 67.5% in North Sinai.
- high level of knowledge of the respondents about the actual roles of youth centers in the development of citizenship in general, as their in Sharkia reached 58.2%, compared to 51.9% in North Sinai.
- Approximately three-fifths of the respondents in Sharkia 57.6% fall into the middle-level as youth centers play a role in developing citizenship, compared to 54.1% in North Sinai.
