This research aimed to characterize and measure the degree of Societal Cohesiveness, identify the most substantial determinants of Societal Cohesiveness, and specify the nature of the relationship between the degree of Societal Cohesiveness and its determinants in the study area. This study had conducted in some villages of Matrouh Governorate, in the province of Al-Hamam, which are the villages (Sayyidna Ayoub, Sayyidna Daoud, and Sayyidana Yahya) in the Banjar al-Sukkar area. The sample had determined by 40 % of the population of the households in the villages, with a total of 323 Parameters, data had collected from the randomly selected sample through a personal interview.
In analyzing the data of this study, more than one statistical method had used to achieve its objectives and test its hypotheses. Some descriptive and analytical statistical methods had used, such as percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted mean, and frequency distribution tables to display and describe the data, Multiple regression analysis, and Step-Wise Multiple Regression (Forward Solution). The results revealed that four main variables contribute to explaining the variance in the degree of Societal Cohesiveness in light of the exclusion of other variables, which are, in order: 1- The degree of Cultural Homogeneity, 2- The degree of Local Community Stability, 3- The degree of Existence of Organizations, 4- The degree of Social Alienation, where each of them individually contributed about 68.3%, 10.5%, 2.0%, and 1.1%, respectively..
