It delves into the pivotal role these stories play in society, elucidating how they contribute to people's understanding of the severity of the situation and guide appropriate behavior. Additionally, the research endeavors to examine the strategies employed by the feature stories to achieve their objectives, with a specific focus on the prevalent theme of fear as a natural response to the pandemic, influencing people's comprehension and behavior during these challenging times. The study employs Fairclough's three-dimensional framework to examine the feature stories in a comprehensive way. The findings underscore the crucial role played by these stories in conveying the seriousness of the pandemic, prompting individuals to adopt precautionary measures for self-protection and to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. The research reveals that the Nile News channel's feature stories strategically employ a dual approach, combining a fear strategy to underscore the impact of the virus with reassurance to convey effective management of the situation by the country. This balanced messaging aims to encourage people to act rightly for their well-being and the collective good of the nation.
