تتناول هذه الورقة البحثية موضوع الحلى والتمائم التي استخدمت بشكل رئيسي للزينة الشخصية والتي كانت رمزاً للثراء والمكانة الاجتماعية , واستخدمت أيضاً لغايات عقائدية أو بغرض أعمال السحر والشعوذة , فكان لها أهمية دينية لحماية وحفظ مرتديها من السوء , حيث تغلغلت التمائم في العديد من الثقافات والمجتمعات نتيجة لاعتقاد عديد من الناس بقدرة التمائم على تحقيق مطالبهم واشباع احتياجاتهم المختلفة .

This research paper dealt with jewellery and amulets that were that were mainly used for personal adornment and were symbols of wealth and social status (position), and were also used for ideological or magical purposes, so they had religious and magical significance to protect the wearer from harm, where the amulets permeated many cultures and societies as result of the belief of many people in the ability of amulets to achieve their demands and satisfy their different needs.
