تستعرض هذه الدراسة المعاجم الرئيسية العامة الشاملة للغة العبرية (معاجم المقرا والعبرية الحديثة)، سواء المطبوعة أو الإلكترونية، أحادية كانت أو ثنائية، وتصفها فيما يتعلق ببعض الجوانب المهمة في علم المعاجم، بما في ذلك المبادئ التزامنية والتاريخية. وتقسم هذه الدارسة تاريخ المعاجم العبرية إلى الفترات التاريخية الرئيسية الثلاث التالية: الصناعة المعجمية العبرية قديمًا (العبرية الكلاسيكية وعبرية العصور الوسطى)، المعاجم العبرية في عصر النهضة (في أوروبا)، الصناعة المعجمية العبرية الحديثة (في القرنين التاسع عشر والعشرين)، مع إشارة إلى أهم مراحل تطور الصناعة المعجمية العبرية منذ نشأتها حتى اليوم.

This study surveys major comprehensive general dictionaries of Hebrew, both، Biblical Hebrew and Modern Hebrew, whether printed or electronic, and whether monolingual or bilingual, describes them with respect to some important aspects of lexicography, including synchronic and diachronic principles. It is divided the history of Hebrew lexicography into the following three major historical periods: ancient Hebrew lexicography (classical and medieval Hebrew), Hebrew lexicography in the Renaissance (in Europe), Modern Hebrew lexicography (In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries), with a reference to the most important phases of the development of Hebrew lexicography from its inception until today.
