هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة الخصائص الاجتماعية للفئات العمرية المتقدمة ، وأنماط تعامل الأبناء معهم ، وكذلك المستوى التعليمي والثقافة الاستهلاكية لهم ، وأيضاً دورهم في المشاركة السياسية ، وقدرتهم على اتخاذ القرار وشغل وقت الفراغ ، بالإضافة إلى نظرتهم للمستقبل ونظرتهم الإجمالية للحياة. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي بالإضافة إلى دليل المقابلة على عينة مكونة من (20) من كبار السن بمدينة المنصورة. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها أن غالبية حالات الدراسة يؤكدون على أن نظرتهم للحياة جميلة ويحمدون الله على كل شئ في حياتهم ، كما أسفرت النتائج أن نظرة حالات الدراسة للمستقبل في أن المستقبل في علم الله . The study aimed to know the social characteristics of the advanced age groups, the patterns of children's interaction with them, as well as their educational level and consumer culture, their role in political participation, their ability to make decisions and occupy leisure time, in addition to their outlook on the future and their overall outlook on life. The study relied on the descriptive analytical method in addition to the interview evidence on a sample of (20) elderly people in Mansoura. The study reached several results, the most important of which is that the majority of the study cases confirm that their outlook on life is beautiful and they praise God for everything in their lives and the results also showed that the study cases' view of the future is that the future is in the knowledge of God.
