The Egyptian tourism industry is considered one of the important service industries that have become an influential element in the Egyptian economy and a major source of foreign currency. Therefore, Egypt is making great promotional and marketing efforts to stimulate demand for the tourism product and develop the Egyptian tourism sector to increase the number of tourists coming to Egypt, but what the world is witnessing today Contemporary geopolitical conflicts and tensions at the regional level may negatively affect the Egyptian tourism industry, given that Egypt's geographical location is in the middle of these events and adjacent to its eastern geographical borders, Therefore, the study aims to identify The impact of regional geopolitical tensions on incoming tourist traffic to Egypt during the period from 2010 to 2024 by identifying the nature of the regional geopolitical risks and tensions surrounding Egypt and the consequences of those risks in general, the extent to which the Egyptian tourism sector is affected by regional geopolitical tensions, and the extent of the development of the Egyptian tourism movement and the size of its revenues during The period from 2010 until the first half of 2024, The descriptive approach was used, and the research sample was selected by a stratified random method from officials and leaders responsible for making decisions at the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian General Authority for Revitalization. Tourism, which numbered (35) officials, A form was designed that includes a set of questions addressed to them through a standardized personal interview, and the most important results reached were that contemporary geopolitical conflicts and tensions at the regional level surrounding Egypt are considered among the greatest threats and risks that negatively affect the Egyptian tourism industry if they continue due to the increase in tourism. Internal and external pressures on the economies of conflicting countries or neighboring countries, In addition to harming international trade movement and its decline, the suspension of air traffic at times, confusion in ship routes, high shipping and marine insurance costs, disturbances in the prices of oil, fuel and gold, disruption of supply chains, and the suspension of future investment projects in many countries until the blurry vision is clear, This effect is clearly visible in the tourism sector with the small number of tourists as well as tourist wills. However, despite the presence of geopolitical tensions surrounding Egypt, there is relative stability in the numbers of tourists arriving in Egypt when comparing the first half of 2023 with the first half of 2024. This stability in the numbers of tourists is considered In itself, it is one of the factors that can be considered positive for tourist confidence in the Egyptian tourism market due to the availability of security, safety and other factors، It can also be considered negative because it hinders the achievement of the targeted expectations of the numbers and revenues of tourists as a result of these geopolitical tensions, which were estimated at 18 million tourists. It is expected, based on the future outlook for the numbers of tourists arriving to Egypt in light of the continuing geopolitical tensions, that the percentage of tourist numbers will decrease or stabilize in the second half of 2024,The study recommends strengthening the security presence in tourist areas close to the scene of geopolitical tensions, especially Sharm El-Sheikh, Taba, Dahab, and Hurghada, promoting tourist areas far from geopolitical events and tensions, highlighting their tourist patterns that attract tourists, raising the level of tourism services, and targeting new categories and markets of tourists.
