Abstract

ABSTRACT: This experiment was carried out in order to study the mode of action of the dietary energy source on (digestibility, N-balance and rumen activity). Three Ossimi rams aged 3 years were used in a 3 × 3 Latin Square design. The first treatment was the control ration (clover hay + concentrate feed mixture) without additive (R0); the second was the control ration plus 46g dry commercial fat (2.65% on DM basis, RF,) while the third was the control ration plus 85g corn grain (4.88% on DM basis, RC).
