قام الباحثان بهذا البحث بهدف الكشف عن العلاقة بين الوعي بقيم الادخار لطلبة جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز بجدة وعلاقته بجودة حياتهم، وقد اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وتم استيفاء بيانات هذا البحث باستخدام بعض أدوات البحث من إعداد الباحثين وهي (استمارة البيانات العامة-مقياس الوعي بقيم الادخار) و(مقياس جودة الحياة من إعداد أ.د. ألفت الآشي)، واشتملت عينة البحث الأساسية على عينة قصدية قوامها (111) من طلبة جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز، وقد تم إجراء التحليلات الإحصائية المناسبة لاستخلاص النتائج والتحقق من مدى صحة الفروض، ومن أهم النتائج التي توصل لها البحث: أن مستوى الوعي بقيم الادخار لطلبة جامعة الملك عبد العزيز جاء بدرجة متوسطة، بينما مستوى جودة حياة طلبة جامعة الملك عبد العزيز جاء بدرجة كبيرة، وتبين أن بُعد (العقائدي والتعبدي والأخلاقي) لطلبة الجامعة جاء في الترتيب الأول من بين أبعاد المقياس، وبدرجة كبيرة جدًا، يليه بُعد (الدراسة والثقافة العامة)، يليه في الترتيب الثالث بُعد (التخطيط المالي)، كما ويليه في الترتيب الرابع بُعد (الأسري والاجتماعي)، ويليه في الترتيب الخامس بُعد (المهنة والعمل التطوعي) وجاءوا بدرجة كبيرة، وفي المرتبة الاخيرة في الترتيب السادس بُعد (الصحة الجسمية والنفسية) جاء بدرجة متوسطة، كما توضح النتائج عن عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات أفراد العينة في مقياس الوعي بقيم الادخار ومقياس جودة الحياة لطلبة جامعة الملك عبد العزيز تبعًا لمتغيرات البحث (النوع- الكلية- المرحلة الدراسية- السنة الدراسية). بينما أسفرت عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في البُعد (الأسري والاجتماعي) تبعًا لمتغير النوع لصالح الطالبات، في حين توضح النتائج على وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في البُعدين (الأسري والاجتماعي، والدراسة والثقافة العامة) تبعًا لمتغير الكلية لصالح الكليات النظرية، كما دلت النتائج على وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في البُعدين (الدراسة والثقافة العامة، والصحة الجسمية والنفسية) تبعًا لمتغير المرحلة الدراسية لصالح الدراسات العليا. وأيضًا أظهرت وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في البُعد (الأسري والاجتماعي) تبعًا لمتغير السنة الدراسية لصالح السنة الأولى، حيث تبين أن متوسط الرتبة لديهم أعلى منه لباقي الفئات في هذا البُعد، وكذلك وجود فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في البُعد (الصحة الجسمية والنفسية) تبعًا لمتغير السنة الدراسية لصالح السنة الثانية، حيث تبين أن متوسط الرتبة لديهم أعلى منه لباقي الفئات في هذا البُعد، وقد كشفت النتائج على وجود علاقة ارتباطية طردية متوسطة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الوعي بقيم الادخار لطلبة جامعة الملك عبد العزيز والدرجة الكلية لجودة حياتهم، وقد عرض الباحثان بعض التوصيات استنادا الى نتائج البحث الحالي.   This study, jointly conducted by the above-named researchers, aimed to uncover the correlation between awareness about saving values among students enrolled in King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah on one hand and their quality of life on the other. To this aim, the study adopted the correlative descriptive methodology. Using a number of tools specifically designed by the researchers – i.e., a questionnaire, scale of awareness about saving values, and quality-of-life scale developed by Prof. Dr. Oulfat Al-Aashi – the study derived its data and information. Community included an intentional sample group which was composed of (111) students enrolled in King Abdul Aziz University. Proper statistical analysis was conducted to infer the findings and verify reliability of presumptions. The most significant findings of the study are as follows. Level of awareness about saving values among responding students of King Abdul Aziz University was average, while their quality of life among the same respondents came considerably high. Findings also revealed that the topic of ‘Doctrine, Religion and Ethics' among the respondents came in the first rank and recorded remarkable high when compared to other topics on the scale. The said topic was followed by ‘Study and General Knowledge'. The topic of ‘Financial Planning' came third, followed by ‘Family and Society' in the fourth rank, and ‘Profession and Volunteering' in the fifth rank. All the topics aforesaid came remarkably high. Lastly, the topic of ‘Physical Health and Psychology' came in the sixth rank with an average score. Findings also pointed out at absence of statistically indicated differences between the average marks obtained by the respondents on the scales of awareness about saving values and quality of life according to the variables of the study (i.e., type, college, stage of education, academic year). Moreover, findings pointed at differences with statistical indication in connection with the topic of ‘Family and Society' according to the variable of ‘Gender' in favor of female respondents. Nonetheless, statistically indicated differences were detected in terms of both topics of ‘Family and Society' and ‘Study and General Knowledge' according to the variable of ‘College' in favor of soft science colleges. More than this, differences with statistical indication were detected in terms of both topics of ‘Study and General Knowledge' and ‘Physical Health and Psychology' according to the variable of ‘Stage of Education' in favor of postgraduate studies.   Findings also revealed statistically indicated differences in terms of the topic ‘Family and Society' according to the variable of ‘Academic Year' in favor of the first year, where the average rank was higher than other categories hereunder this topic. Also detected were statistically indicated differences in terms of the topic of ‘Physical Health and Psychology' according to the variable of ‘Academic Year' in favor of the Second Year, where the average rank recorded higher than that of other categories hereunder this topic. Additionally, findings revealed an average direct correlation with statistical indication between awareness about saving values among the respondents and the total score of their quality of life. In the light of findings concluded, the researcher(s) made a number of recommendations.
