The study dealt with an ethnic group that settled in southern Palestine from the late fifteenth century BC until the middle of the twelfth century BC, called Aperu. This group was mentioned ina limited number of archaeological evidence, numbering up to seven, written in the hieratic and hieroglyphic lines. Researchers have differed in reading the transliteration and the meaning of this word, and the written forms of this word have also differed. The word clearly appears in texts of the late Egyptian in several literary and historical contexts.
