Abstract

He is Abd al-Malik bin Abdullah bin Amer bin Kariz, son of the governor of Basra, Abdullah bin Amer bin Kariz (41-45 AH), called Qafiz. He appointed some of Persia to Al-Harith bin Abdullah bin Abi Rabi'ah and was appointed to Basra by Abdullah bin Al-Zubair. It was said that he He became governor of Basra during the caliphate of Abdullah bin Al-Zubair. He minted cOINS in the mint of Bishapur in the years 66 AH and 67 AH.
Al-Tabari mentioned that in the year 64 AH, the people of Basra gathered to appoint Abd al-Malik bin Abdullah bin Amer as the emir to lead them in prayer, and he led them in prayer for a month.
The coins were minted at the Bishapur mint in the years (66-67 AH). The propaganda phrase “In the Name of God" was recorded in the side margin in the second quarter and in the third quarter was the Muhammadan message “Muhammad is the Messenger of God." This was an early event in Islamic coinage, and it was the first time that the Muhammadan message appeared. Muhammad is the Messenger of God" on money.
