تناولت الدراسة العلاقات الروسية بالقارة الافريقية من خلال بعدين البعد العام والبعد الخاص بالتركيز على مصر ففي الاطارين يمكن القول ان تلك العلاقات تمتد لأمد بعيد الا انها تزايدت بصورة ملحوظة في العام 2014 في اطار سعي روسيا للحصول على الموارد وتعزيز وضعها العالمي و يلاحظ انه منذ الحرب الروسية الاوكرانية زادت معاناة الدول الافريقية خاصة الدول الواقعة في الشمال الافريقي المستوردة للحبوب وخصوصاً مصر كما يلاحظ ان حجم التعاون مازال قليلا بالمقارنة بحجم تعاون الدول الكبرى مع افريقيا كما ان معظم مجالات التعاون سواء على الصعيد الافريقي او المصري تتركز في الطاقة النووية والميدان العسكري
