This research aims to identify the main aesthetic values in the works of several artists from contemporary Iraqi art groups. It looks at these art groups, their history, philosophy, and artistic styles. The study also presents selected works by well-known artists from these groups, showing the aesthetic qualities in their art, which are important for their artistic value. The goal is to create new design ideas for printed one-Piece women's clothing using computer design software.
The research highlights the role these pioneering Iraqi art groups played in shaping modern art history in Iraq and how they influenced the development of visual arts in the Arab world. Art groups became popular in the Arab world, especially in Egypt and Iraq, in the mid-20th century, spreading visual culture through important exhibitions and writings. Many members of these Art groups were talented artists who studied in Europe during its artistic golden age, making these groups important both culturally and visually.
Statement of the Problem: Artistic work within groups is one of the artistic approaches that emerged in the modern era in the West, leading to the formation of art groups in Arab countries, particularly in Iraq. Since each of these groups has its own philosophy and style, the current research problem is summarized by the following questions: How does the artistic style of the group generally influence the artistic features of the works created by its pioneering artists? How can the diversity of artistic style and aesthetic values in some works of Iraqi art groups be utilized to innovate modern textile-print designs for single pieces?
Research Objectives: The research aims to: Uncover the aesthetic and structural values in the works of selected Iraqi art group artists.Innovate printed designs for one-piece printed textiles by drawing inspiration from the analytical study of aesthetic values in the works of Iraqi art group artists, and propose a hypothetical functional mockups for them.
Importance of the Research: Studying the aesthetic and structural values in the works of Iraqi art group artists and how they can be used to create textile designs for single pieces. Present a historical study of Iraqi art groups as part of the broader contemporary Arab artistic history. Provide an analytical study of the works of leading Iraqi artists to extract the distinguished aesthetic and structural values from their works.
Delimitations: Time limits: Since the emergence of art groups in the Arab world and Iraq, particularly in the mid-19th century.Geographical Limits: Iraq, as the country where these artistic groups originated. Objective limits: Studying Iraqi art groups and identifying the characteristics of the artwork by pioneers of these groups to innovate textile-print designs for single pieces.
Research Methodology: Historical Method: Through a historical study of Iraqi art groups as part of contemporary Arab art. Experimental (Applied Artistic) Method: This involves designing experimental and hypothetical functional designs created by the researcher.
Results: The researcher benefited from the theoretical study of Iraqi art groups and the analysis of selected works by key artists, understanding the aesthetic principles they followed in their artwork. After analyzing the main aesthetic values in these works, six (6) design ideas were inspired, suitable for one-piece printed designs for women's garments. Computer programs were utilized for making and developing six (6) textile-print one-piece designs for women's garments, as well as for proposed mockups applications, offering innovative and efficient hypothetical solutions.
