Abstract

The use of design flexibility in interior design for small spaces ensures continuity, sustainability, and performance. This flexibility accommodates rapid changes in technology and social needs, aligning with sustainability principles by optimizing space use. The research addresses how design flexibility can solve issues in small spaces, particularly for the Faculty of Applied Arts after relocating to a smaller area. The aim is to analyze and apply design flexibility to improve the functionality and the adaptability of small spaces. By designing adaptable furniture and spaces, the research seeks to enhance user experience and maintain essential functions, highlighting the importance of flexibility in efficiently utilizing small spaces and meeting user needs. Adjustable drawing tables for the Interior Design Department exemplify how such flexibility can support student needs and space functionality. Thus, it contributes significantly to both practical and educational environments by ensuring versatile and responsive design solutions that cater to evolving requirements.
