Cognitive skills are one of the most important aspects that both psychotherapists and parents work to train children with autism spectrum disorder in, as these children suffer from severe deficiencies in cognitive skills. Therefore, they need intervention in various ways with the aim of developing this deficiency, enabling them to acquire the cognitive skills that help them communicate and interact with the surrounding environment. Psychodrama is one of the most important of these methods, as it has an important role that cannot be ignored as an art that combines many skills and abilities, in addition to being an effective therapeutic method. For children with autism spectrum disorder, the research problem's focused on the role of Psychodrama Fashion in developing the cognitive skills of children with autism spectrum disorder. The research objective to study the characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorders, design proposals for Psychodrama Fashion to develop their cognitive skills, and implement Psychodrama Fashion that achieved the highest degrees of acceptance. By the research samples, the research also aimed to measure the degrees of acceptance of both specialists and consumers (psychologists) for the proposed fashion Psychodrama designs for children with autism spectrum, and to measure the degrees of response of children with autism spectrum (the research sample) to Psychodrama fashion designs in developing cognitive skills according to the opinions of (the specialist psychological).
The research followed the descriptive approach with application in order to suit it with answering the research questions and verifying its hypotheses. The research sample was chosen intentionally from among children with autism spectrum, with (6) children aged between (4: 7) years, and the results reached the following:
- There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the seven Psychodrama fashion designs in achieving the aesthetic, innovative, and functional aspects according to the opinions of specialists.
- There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the seven Psychodrama fashion designs according to the opinions of specialists.
- There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the four Psychodrama fashion designs implemented according to the opinions of the consumer “psychologist".
There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the response of children with autism spectrum to psychodramatic Fashion in developing cognitive skills according to the opinions of the “psychologist" in favor of the post-measurement.
