Abstract

Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between some anthropometric traits, motor abilities and biomechanical variables on reactive strength for professional volleyball players when landing from two boxes (30 and 50 cm height) to guide the training. Twenty-four players were recruited. Measurements were taken for Anthropometric variables, physical motor abilities, and biomechanics variables were explored during landing from 30 and 50 cm height drop box. Correlations between anthropometric variables, biomechanics variables, and physical motor abilities with reactive strength were also explored using Pearson correlations. The results showed a negative correlation between weight, height and the reactive strength during landing (from a 30 and 50 cm box), and a relationship was seen for contact time and landing from different heights, the contact time decreases when landing from a 30 cm box and increases when landing from a 50 cm box. These results indicated to the important of the weight and body mass index for volleyball players for their impact on the performance. In addition, the coaches should be given to implement the exercises to improve reactive strength for volleyball players for improving the agility. Finally, the coaches should be performing the movements after landing from the jump boxes quickly to achieve the best reactive strength and using a 30 cm box is recommended.
