The research deals with the study of integration between biology and design, and the impact of biotechnology on the transformation of the concept of architecture, interior design and furniture. Moreover, how to take advantage of the role of biomaterials that biotechnology offers us to address biodesign, in order to achieve an interior space and sustainable furniture that can automatically develop and adapt to the surrounding environment. This is to find a solution to environmental problems and to achieve biologically sustainable internal spaces.
As a result of the rapid development of technology, which was reflected in the growing expressive capabilities of designers and architects in their results, which led to the emergence of contemporary architectural and design trends, the most prominent of which is the biological trend in design. Biosciences left its mark in the field of architecture, interior design and furniture through many achievements. Hence the research problem lies in the lack of interest in the impact of biology in the development of the design process. Likewise, the scarcity of applying modern biological design trends as a tool for designing sustainable interior space and furniture. The aim of the research is to shed light on the importance of biology (biological sciences) and its impact on the design process to achieve an interior space and to design sophisticated, environmentally friendly and sustainable furniture. The research also assumes that: Benefiting from the science of biology positively affects the design of the interior space and sustainable furniture that is compatible with the environment
