يهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة متطلبات تطوير الجامعات المصرية في ضوء الثورة الصناعية الرابعة وذلك من خلال تعرف مفهوم وسمات وخصائص الثورة الصناعية الرابعة بالإضافة إلى توضيح مفهوم وسمات وخصائص الجامعة الذكية ومن ثم تعرف مقومات الثورة الصناعية الرابعة لتطوير الجامعات المصرية وتحويلها إلى جامعات ذكية، فالجامعة الذكية هي جامعة ذات كفاءة وفاعلية عالية، تستخدم أحدث التطورات في تقنيات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، وتقدم مجموعة من الخدمات المتاحة من خلال شبكة الانترنت. توصل البحث إلى مجموعة من المتطلبات لتطوير الجامعات المصرية في ضوء الثورة الصناعية الرابعة أهمها ضرورة تبني سياسات وطنية كفيلة بإحداث نقلة نوعية في بنية الجامعات المصرية لتحويلها من الجامعات التقليدية إلى الجامعات الذكية. This research aims to know the requirements for the development of Egyptian universities in the light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, by identifying the concept, features and characteristics of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in addition to clarifying the concept, features and characteristics of a smart university, and then knowing the components of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to develop Egyptian universities and turn them into smart universities. A highly efficient and effective university that uses the latest developments in information and communication technology technologies, provides a range of services available through the Internet. The research found a set of requirements for the development of Egyptian universities in the light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the most important of which is the need to adopt national policies capable of bringing about a qualitative shift in the structure of Egyptian universities to transform them from traditional universities to smart universities.
